For a few weeks, patients found it more difficult to get the PCR test done in their practice – also in the Neuburg region. The reason behind this is causing trouble for the doctors.

I started with headaches and body aches. The nose was closed, and the throat was contorted. Then came chills and a slight fever. Of course, the 59-year-old from the Newburgh area immediately thought about having a Covid infection. Several rapid self-test tests remained negative. When a woman from the area felt fit enough to go to her family doctor after a few days of bed rest, the practice said, “If you no longer have a fever, a quick test is enough. It’s as good as a PCR test.” This is not an isolated case. Since April, patients in various medical practices have not undergone PCR testing as quickly as they did a few months ago. The reason for this causes problems for doctors – also in the Neuburg region.
