Self-isolation With COVID-19
After testing positive for COVID-19, public health will support you to stay home and isolate for at least ten days after symptoms appear. Most people can manage their symptoms at home while a family doctor, local urgent primary care center, or outpatient clinic can support mild to moderate cold or flu-like symptoms.
If you are self-isolating because of your COVID-19 infection, then you must take measures to stay isolated from others in your family.
If this is not possible and you remain in close contact with others in your family, they should isolate with you.
While waiting for your COVID-19 test results, you must self-isolate and if you test negative for COVID-19 despite COVID-19-like symptoms, you still have to stay home to recover.
