Ouch! Jenny Ryan of The Chase Joey Essex has been described as “lazy” and “not a very nice person” after they appeared on Celebrity Masterchef together last year
Jenny said of Joey, “It took half of my time. It was exasperating. It was excuse after excuse yet excuse. I just thought, ‘This isn’t clothes, this – it’s just lazy.”
“The fact that he put that extra workload on everyone else showed that he didn’t seem like a very nice person.”
There was one challenge in particular, as the team had to cook for 60 people on the white cliffs of Dover, which made her particularly frustrated with Joy.
She recalled: “ I assumed she was somewhat personal, and when you get into this situation, the kind, cooperative side of you tends to emerge.
I spent so much of our time cooking 60 bits of flattery, controlling Joey, trying to find things to do, then trying to explain how to do it, and then watching him make a half-hearted attempt to do it. Before making an excuse for not being able to do the job – then having to look for another task …
Half of my time was spent. It was infuriating, it was excuse after excuse. I just thought, ‘It’s not a wear, it’s – it’s just lazy.’
Meanwhile, Jenny recently hinted that she could score for “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”
Can he do it? Joey appeared on The Chase in a special celebrity show in 2017 against fellow Jenny Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, but their paths apparently didn’t cross
After announcing that this year’s series will be held in the UK, she told her followers, “This might be a great opportunity” for her to participate, because she will not have to endure the scary crawl down and the intense heat.
She wrote, “My major reservations about my work as a celebrity have always been 1. The Spiders 2. The Snakes 3, The Heat.
So this might be a big opportunity for Jenny.
If The Vixen enters the new series of ‘I’m a Celebrity …’ it will make her the second test runner on Chase participating in the Ant and Dec show, after Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty survived in the woods for three weeks in 2018.
