Speaking to former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Blanchett said: “I had a chainsaw accident yesterday, which sounds very, very exciting, but it’s not. Other than a small throat to the head, I’m fine.”

The actress, who reportedly lives in East Sussex, England, did not think in detail about how the unusual accident happened.

During her look “A podcast of ownership with Julia Gillard,” which features interviews with prominent public figures, Blanchett said she ran a school for her five-year-old daughter during the British coronavirus captivity in the UK.

The actress won Oscars for her roles in the films “Aviator” and “Blue Jasmine”.
