In a game that didn’t involve much of an offense, T Higgins and Greg Ward provided the only touches in the first half of this crossover game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bengals. Carson Wentz continued to struggle with throwing football, but had the most yards (45) since the AFC Champions League was torn apart in the 2017 season. The Eagles had a fruitful game from Miles Sanders, but were limited to only eight times in the first half. Philadelphia scored just two goals in the last 25 quarters before Wentz hit Greg Ward to give Philadelphia a 13-10 lead in the first half. Wentz is the fastest central midfielder for Eagles to reach 100 touchdowns, and he has done so in 59 games.
The Cincinnati attack was restricted by adjustments from the Eagles’ defense (Josh Sweet starts at the defensive end and Griffon LeBlanc replaces Nickel Robbie Coleman in a corner hole), but the Bengalis did enough to score the game’s only touchdown. Joe Burrow’s touchdown pass to T Higgins late in the second quarter gave Cincinnati his first lead in the match before Team Eagles responded before halftime.
