“My family voted for it,” the Cuban said of the presidential offer. “Otherwise I would.”
Cuban said he would run as an independent candidate and wanted to know how he would oppose Trump and presumed Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
The poll poll, Kuban said, told him he could withdraw about 77% of the independent vote and take some votes from Trump and Biden. However, he finally felt that his chances were not good enough.
“I dominated the independent vote,” Kuban said. “But overall, I only managed to get up to 25%.”
With such a long prospect, he said, he doesn’t feel he could convince his family that running is worth it. “That’s why I didn’t go any further.”
As for how he feels about Trump’s presidency, Cuban said he thinks he “collapsed at the beginning,” adding that he agrees with some parts of Trump’s tax plan. But Kuban eventually questioned Trump’s readiness for the role.
“He’s not a leader at all,” Kuban said. “He has no communication skills. To this day, he is not guilty of anything. He has never admitted anything. And you can’t be the leader of the free world and constantly play the victim card.”
