Tennis:Davis Cup: Canada meets Australia in the final

Málaga (AFP) Canadian men’s tennis reached the Davis Cup final for the second time in their history. The team led by world number six Felix Auger-Aliassime, who beat Germany in the quarter-finals, beat Italy 2-1 in Malaga.
In the final on Sunday (1pm/Servus TV and DAZN), the North Americans meet Australia. The 28-time Davis Cup winner beat Croatia 2-1 on Friday. This will be Canada’s first title after losing to Spain in the 2019 final.
And in the first semi-final match on Saturday, Lorenzo Sonego gave Italy a lead in front of 9,423 spectators 7: 6 (7: 4), 6: 7 (5: 7), 6: 4 against Denis Shapovalov. Auger-Aliassime leveled the tie 6-3 6-4 against Lorenzo Musetti. Auger-Aliassime / Vasek Pospisil won the decisive doubles match against Berrettini / Fabio Fognini 7: 6 (7: 2), 7: 5.
