Pride! Kenneth Tenseo qualifies for the World Cup semi-finals in Australia

Costa Rican Kenneth Tencio on Friday morning advanced to the next round of the BMX Freestyle World Cup being held on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Entered among the top 20 of the 50 registered contestants, Tiko will now be tasked with making it to the final on Sunday in which the top 12 contestants on the planet will be.

“We have taken a good first step. The idea was to qualify among the 20 semi-finalists without showing too much. We achieved 17th place with a score of 75.44. Now comes the challenge of reaching the final on Sunday,” the blurry signified.

The competition took place on Friday at 5:00 pm local time (1:00 am Costa Rica time) on an outdoor track located in the coastal city of Queensland in Australia where the temperature was “fresh”, at 21 degrees.

“Thank God, the time was changed from 10 am to 5 pm because it was so hot, we got to 32 degrees in the training sessions as we had to use umbrellas during the breaks,” Tensio said.

With changes to avoid high temperatures, the semi-finals will be on Saturday at 3:30pm (11:30pm on Fridays in Costa Rica).
