| on 2010/5/8 13:40:00 (184 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency)--- Chastity Bono, the former daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono is now officially their son, Chaz Bono. Chaz Bono has legally changed his gender to male after fully completing his gender reassignment surgery. A year after undergoing a sex change, Chaz Bono is now legally a man.
Chaz Bono had previously come out as a lesbian, back when she was still Chastity Bono. Later, she realized that she was really gay and she was actually just in the wrong body. Bono began transitioning from female to male in 2008. Chaz Bono was finally granted a legal gender and name change on Thursday by a California judge. Bono underwent an irreversible surgery last September and he will be issued a new birth certificate reflecting his name and gender changes.
“It’s hard for me to articulate how this feels, when you’ve lived your whole life in a body and having everybody relate to you as something you don’t feel,” Bono told People magazine in December of his decision to change his sex. “When that finally gets righted, it’s just amazing. I finally get to live my life the way I’ve always wanted to.”

Gay & Lesbian Interest : Only a quarter of gay and bi men would like to be straight
|
| on 2010/4/8 6:00:00 (142 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency)--- Almost three-quarters of UK gay and bisexual men would resist the opportunity to “turn straight,” and, if a pill were available, they would not take it, according to a survey.
It was carried out by the dating site ManCentral.com, which found that only 26 percent of those surveyed said they would take a “straight pill.”
Borrowing concepts from the movie The Matrix, the site presents a picture of capsules coloured blue and red, and says: “Take the blue pill, the story ends, and you wake up heterosexual. Or take the red pill and you remain in The Gaytrix.”
(The analogy being drawn is that, in the movie, a character who takes the blue pill and lives in the manufactured world of the Matrix and remains oblivious, while one who opts for the red will live in the real world as he knows it.)

Gay & Lesbian Interest : Nhojj at Forefront of 'Gay Music' Revolution
|
| on 2010/3/10 12:00:00 (110 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency)--- What is Gay Music? Music by gay artists... music by out musicians... music with gay lyrics? Nhojj is one of a growing number of recording artists carving out a niche in the music industry, and shaping the answer to those questions. Expressing their reality, artists like Nhojj are depicting gay life and sharing their experiences as gay people in gay songs and gay music videos. This baby industry revolution has been growing underground for almost 2 decades and is beginning to spill into mainstream America .
Music lovers have always danced with gay artists. Tom Robinson's “Glad to be Gay” was a hit in the UK in the 1970s and disco singer Sylvester won 3 Billboard awards. In 1998, Rolling Stone named Rufus Wainwright Best New Artist, and Adam Lambert's release debuted at #3 on Billboard's 200 chart. However fans often become aware of a singer's sexuality after the artist-fan bond is formed - as is the case with Elton John, George Michael, Boy George, Tevin Campbell and Johnny Mathis. The industry's model of marketing to heterosexual desire keeps many artists closeted until after their career's have peaked.
But while mainstream approval keeps many major label artists in the closet, the indie music world is rich with gay music in every genre.

Starting with the witnessing of Christ, the author, Lo Cest, claims that, in the year 2000, God tested one of his begotten and realized the value of forgiving those who are willing to forgive, and he has therefore offered salvation to the homosexual community for the sacrifices they have made through mental anguish.

(Prudent Press Agency)--- LAs Revenge Is and host Giuliana Rancic celebrated the return of marriage equality in California with the launch of the Revenge Is... All Love Is Equal tees at Kitson Melrose on November 21. The event also launched the highly debated petition signature drive to put a Repeal Prop 8 initiative on the 2010 CA ballot. The E! News anchor and reality star Rancic, a heterosexual Catholic, was the first to sign the petition stating that "it is not my place to deny anyone the basic right of marriage.
The packed capacity event at Kitson Melrose was a smash success with a faux wedding ceremony performed by Hal Sparks as minister with Missi Pyle and Smith & Pyle band member Shawnee Smith as the eternally betrothed. It was a light counterpoint to the serious purpose of the event expressed so eloquently by Rancic, Revenge Is creator Marilyn Barrett, and comedienne Susanne Whang. The wedding "ceremony" was written and produced by Ashley Terrill with Brent Wang of EggsLosAngeles creating the bouquets.

|

(Prudent Press Agency)--- Ah, the joys of spring and warmer weather and everything in bloom. And with it comes the joys of traveling and searching for adventure. Planning that getaway may mean seeing what the good old USA has in store for the adventurous gay male traveler.
What better place to start than that toddling town of Chicago?
Will it be your first time there? Do you need help in getting your bearings before you head out? There are plenty of sites out there to get the adventure kicked off, so relax. Youre only a click away from getting started. Chicago.gaycities.com gives an excellent list of gay bars and clubs and recommended restaurants.
As this site states, Chicago is the nation's third largest city and boasts a large and vibrant gay community. Like New York or Atlanta in their regions, Chicago serves as the Midwest's cosmopolitan hub and attracts young and old alike, and all of them are looking to escape to the big city. Gay life (and gay bars) in Chicago is mostly concentrated in two areas: Boystown (really "East Lakeview") and Andersonville, which is farther up the city's north side. Bars and clubs have one of two licenses: most close at 2am (3am on Saturdays) and a few stay open after-hours until 4am (5am on Saturdays). If you're up for a late night, you'll find the after-hours bars packed after the other bars close.
