Philanthropy and Volunteer

(Prudent Press Agency)--- Staffordshire, England -- UK Charities Tommy's, Merlins Magic Wand, CLIC Sargent, Myeloma UK, Anti Slavery International, Make A Wish Foundation UK, Nordoff Robbins, Action Against Hunger, Ataxia UK, Deaf Blind UK, The National Literacy Trust and Spinal Research are just some of the latest charities set to receive a welcome cash boost having teamed up with new insurance website donatesomeback.com which means people renewing their car or home insurance can now support their favourite charity at the same time without it costing them a penny.

This new partnership means donatesomeback.com will donate up to £25 to charity for every home and car policy sold through the website.

The company behind the new website, donatesomeback Ltd, which works in partnership with Fortis Insurance Solutions, has pledged to donate 50% of its turnover to UK charities and non-profit organisations and customers can choose which charity they would like to benefit, or they can nominate their own favourite if it is not listed on the website. The company is also calling for more charities to register so they too can benefit.

Baby charity Tommy's, is the latest in a long line of charities registered on the site, exists to save babies lives because right now in the UK 1 in 4 women loses a baby during pregnancy or birth. The charity fund research into and provide information on the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.

They fund three research centres in the UK, including St Thomas' in London, St Mary's in Manchester and the recently established Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, which focus their research efforts on different issues relating to pregnancy.

Corporate Account Manager at Tommy's Claire Pryce says, "We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Donatesomeback. If our charity is chosen by the customer during their purchase on Donatesomeback, we will use the monies raised to help fund more vital research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth."

Donatesomeback Director Mark Fenton who founded donatesomeback along with business partner Dan Handforth comments: "During any recession one of the first things people cut back on is donations to good causes, but of course, all these charities and non-profit organisations still need money to carry on their good work. With donatesomeback.com, we're giving people a way to make a contribution to their favourite good causes, just by buying products and services they needed anyway and they don't pay any extra."

"We'd like to encourage all charities and other good causes to register with us," adds Dan Handforth, "and it doesn't cost them a penny. Each month we feature one of our new members as charity of the month, so if customers don't have a favourite cause they can always nominate that month's charity for the donation."

If donatesomeback.com customers want to support a cause that isn't a member of the site, they have the ability to name that organisation when they buy. The donatesomeback team will contact that charity or non-profit organisation and if it registers, donatesomeback will make the donation as normal.
